What does a tool providing a complete campaign life cycle look like?

The people who work with Campaign Management are mostly from the creative team in the marketing department, though some organizations use the CM tool to support the recovery process as well.

An ideal CM system can be broken down into the following steps:

Creating a campaign

  • A great campaign stems from a user-friendly environment during planning, designing, and execution.
  • Requires good record keeping including an accurate description, who the owner is and what the costs are.

Preparing the address list

  • Select clients for campaigns from the data mart as determined by product information, socio-demographics, predictive models, segmentation amongst others.
  • Import list of clients from external sources
  • Create control groups

Launching the campaign

  • Launch campaigns instantaneously, repeatedly, regularly
  • Visualize and periodize campaign schedulers and calendars
  • Prioritize campaigns
  • Allow others to approve campaigns
  • Maintain contact history

Setting up Communication Channels

  • Use Direct Mail, SMS / MMS, export to csv, Call Center, E-mailing
  • Employ Multi-channel communication (e.g. addressing multiple channels. Follow-up email)
  • Create templates in HTML / Call Script Editor

Reporting and evaluation:
