- Adastra Group 2008 fiscal year revenue reaches € 43.6 million, a 22% increase from 2007
- Value-added services account for 99 % of revenue
- Adastra continues expansion into world markets
Prague, December 15, 2008 – Adastra Group, an international consulting and software company, has announced its revenue in the fiscal year 2008 (ending September 30, 2008). The company’s revenue reached € 43.6 million, of which 99% was generated by value-added services, representing a 22% increase over 2007.
“We are pleased with Adastra’s results over this last fiscal year in spite of the fact that the revenue increase, which was shared by our six offices on two continents, felt the impact of a weakening US dollar and the onset of financial problems in North America and Western Europe,” said Jan Mrazek, President, Adastra Group. “The company is in excellent shape and is poised to become even stronger during and after the ensuing economical slowdown. We deliver projects our customers need right now to successfully reposition themselves and recover from this downturn,” he added.
In the past fiscal year Adastra remained dedicated to its core competencies: Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence and Data Integration. Adastra also devoted itself to consultancy work related to these competencies as well as to enterprise application development and Quality Assurance. The company also developed its activities in Data Quality, Master Data Management and, in particular, Data Governance. The importance of Data Governance for Adastra was reflected in its being the main topic of this year’s annual conference in Prague, Data Symposium 2008.
In 2008, Adastra reached some important milestones:
- The company opened an office in Great Britain and a new branch in Bulgaria.
- The end of the 2008 fiscal year saw the appointment of the new local management of Adastra Czech Republic, headed by Katarína Machková. Local management has assumed full responsibility for Czech operations since the beginning of fiscal year 2009 (starting October 1, 2008). This completes the transformation process of all branches and subsidiaries into Adastra Group, jointly led by Jan Červinka, Jan Mrazek, and Petr Jech.
In 2008, Adastra acquired many new customers and continues to provide services to leading global and regional companies including Bell Canada, the Royal Bank Canada, Loblaws, Deutsche Bank, Volkswagen, the Czech Insurance Association, Česká spořitelna, ČSOB, GE Money Bank, LBBW, Ministry of Finance CR, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs CR, National Reference Center CR, regional branches of VZP CR, Occupational Health Insurance Company, Regionalnyj Kredit Russia, Raiffeisen Bank Bulgaria, Vodafone, Central Military Hospital Prague (CR).
