Adastra Corporation closed 2007 successfully

  • The company’s revenue in 2007 reached CZK 1.061 billion, which constitutes a 45% year-on-year increase

  • Over half of the company’s turnover comes from foreign operations

  • Adastra reinforced its Business Consulting Division, continued strengthening its position in Master Data Management and focused on ePrescription


Prague, 30 January 2008 – Adastra Corporation, an international consultancy and software company, reached a revenue of CZK 1,061 billion in 2007, which constitutes a 45% increase compared to 2006. Value-added services, which are Adastra’s core business, constituted 98% of the company’s total turnover last year, climbing up to CZK 1.039 billion. Foreign operations (primarily projects in North America and Germany) have a 52% share in the turnover. Adastra Corporation has been organically growing since its establishment; its revenue has increased more than tenfold since 2000, while its compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the last five years (CAGR) has reached 384%.

Important milestones in 2007

  • The company continued developing its activities and solutions in Master Data Management,  data quality control, application development and, last but not least in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence.
  • The Prague office brought significant reinforcements to its consultancy division, which provides services in the Czech Republic and focuses on the company’s further territorial expansion to CEE countries and Asia (primarily Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Vietnam).
  • Adastra significantly strengthened its Sales Department in terms of staff and reach of its solutions. Its efforts now concentrate even more on public administration and electronic healthcare, where it is directly involved in the formation of an electronic prescription system – ePrescription.
  • In 2007 Adastra acquired Reporters, a company specializing in Corporate Performance Management (CPM).
  • Adastra organized two major IT conferences:
    • In cooperation with DW Klub, a professional association of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence specialists in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Adastra organized a one-day conference called Data Symposium. The annual conference focused on Master Data Management and data quality control was once again hugely appraised by IT professionals, with 300 IT experts from financial institutions, telecommunications, public administration and other institutions taking part in it.
    • In its North American home city of Toronto, Adastra organized the IM 2007 conference specializing in information management, which was largely appreciated by Canadian IT professionals.
  • At the end of the year Adastra founded its branch in Sofia, Bulgaria, which will focus not only on projects in Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence and Master Data Management, but also on offshore development for global customers.

Adastra’s major customers in 2007 include Bawag Bank CZ, Cetelem ČR, ČSOB Group, Česká pojišovna, Královské Vinohrady Teaching Hospital, Ferona, Global Payments Europe, GE Money Bank, Home Credit, Komerční banka, Milosrdných Bratří Hospital in Brno, Kutná Hora Hospital, Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Mediatel, Raiffeisenbank/eBanka, Tipsport, Vodafone Czech Republic and others. Customers outside the Czech Republic include e.g. KMB-Bank (Russia), Raiffeisen Bank Aval (Ukraine), Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), Loblaw Companies (Canada), Canadian Ministry of Health, Ontario Energy Board, Centennial College (Canada), Deutsche Bank New York, Volkswagen of America, Raiffeisen International (Austria) etc.

Selected awards and certificates

  • In 2007 Adastra was once again among TOP 10 system integrators.
  • The company was again nominated for Technology Fast 50 CE, set up by Deloitte and containing the fifty fastest-growing IT companies in Central Europe, and was also placed on Technology Fast 500, compiled for the EMEA region.
  • Dr. Jan Mrazek was a finalist to the 2007 Technology Entrepreneur contest held in Ontario, Canada. This award is part of the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, organized annually by Ernst & Young, which selects the most successful enterprise pioneers in various regions of the world.
  • Adastra Canada placed among Top 25 Canadian IT Professional Services Companies and Top 250 Canadian Technology Companies compiled by Branham Group, Canada.
  • Adastra met the recertification audit conditions set by Moody International and received an ISO 9001 re-qualification certificate for additional three years, i.e. until 2010.
  • Adastra defended its Microsoft Gold Partner and Oracle certified Partner certification for the future.

The growing interest in Adastra’s professional services and solutions and its stable customer base necessitate a growing number of corporate staff. At the end of 2007 Adastra had 500 employees, more than half of them in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
