With the growth of Adastra Corporation, we continue to lay greater emphasis on supporting non-profit and social programmes. The word “support” is for us not just an empty term. In the past few years, we have been significantly aiding the Help the Children (Pomozte dětem) foundation, we have helped the Children’s Home in Žíchovec after the devastating floods in 2002, and many others. At present, our Support Programme includes a number of activities, which will be extended even further.

Tereza Kmochova is a promising hearing-impaired downhill junior skier. She competes in all the alpine skiing disciplines within the frame of FIS international competitions (slalom, giant slalom, Super G, and downhill). Her home team is the Ski Club Harrachov/TJ Jiskra Harrachov. She is currently in 20th place among juniors and in her year category she ranks 3rd and 1st in slalom. Adastra provides financial aid for her training and travelling. |

The Foster home with a basic school in Žíchovec near the town of Prachatice is a state facility providing alternative parental care to children. Adastra has been cooperating with the Children’s Home for many years, we helped after the floods and our help continues. In collaboration with the management of the Children’s Home, we provide material gifts every year, which are aimed at the better use of the children’s leisure time, such as sports equipment, audio equipment, computers, etc. A letter of thanks from the children at Žíchovec (PDF, 65Kb). |

The mission of the public benefit company Energeia and The Key Endowment Fund (Nadační fond Klíček) is to build and to subsequently operate a children’s hospice, the first facility of its kind in the Czech Republic, and thereby to fill this gap in the nursing, social and respite care for seriously ill child patients and their family. Energeia is concurrently preparing a project of an environmentally friendly water power plant, which will perpetually finance the children’s hospice. Adastra has provided financial aid to Energeia. |

Wheelchairers' Sport Club – is closely connected to the Paraple Centre, which provides backgrounds to the club, moral as well as material support. The club currently has 43 members and has table tennis, floorball, skiing, orienteering and hiking teams. Thanks to its close link to the Paraple Centre, people on wheelchairs can actively partake in sports events very soon after their injury. Adastra provides financial aid to the skiing team and it was the general sponsor of a floorball tournament

Adastra Corporation and the VIA Foundation (Nadace VIA) have run a joint project since 2004. The project helps Czech non-profit organizations to professionalize their financial management, especially the cash flow management. Adastra, in cooperation with Axima and Sefima, participated in development of a software application called Cash Flow Management NGO. Cash Flow Management is the first software tool for professional financial management in both business and non-governmental spheres. Features of Cash Flow Management NGO reflect all specific needs of non-profit sector.
