Company development in 2006
The key question impinging on a whole range of data integration projects was data quality, therefore Adastra concentrated on Data Quality Management. The company is raising its profile in regard to Master Data Management (MDM), a newly emerging IT discipline. MDM represents a shift in the way that data/information is perceived in systems of organizations from the traditional, formal, and technically based approach to a content-based and procedurally perceived solution. Within this conception, semantics, organization, and business are of greater importance. Technology is more and more understood to be a tool and a part of infrastructure for universal solutions.
In addition to these activities Adastra continues to operate in Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence and Data Mining, which still form the core of its competencies. The development of the company’s own business-software solutions and tailored customer applications, including consistent quality assurance and quality validation & verification, has also moved on apace.
The most important Adastra solutions, which the company continued developing last year, include:
- Adastra Purity – the company’s flagship solutions in MDM, designed for the consolidation and cleansing of client data
- Adastra Fraud Management System – a solution for the detection of insurance or telecommunication fraud
- Campaign Management – a solution for managing and evaluating marketing campaigns
- Adastra Quality Validation & Verification – methodology for testing and improving the quality of software applications
