Adastra Announces a 60% Increase in Earnings

  • In the calendar year 2003, Adastra Corporation broke its record by generating earnings in the amount CZK 276 million, which represents a 60% year-on-year increase.
  • Earnings received from abroad increased to 40% of total turnover.
  • The company continues to pursue its global activities and implements extensive projects for large corporations.

Prague, 10 February 2004 – Adastra Corporation, a Czech-Canadian IT consulting company, announces its financial results for the year 2003. Adastra generated record earnings in the amount of CZK 276 million, which represents a 60% increase compared to the calendar year 2002. In the field of IT services with added value – the core business activity of the company - Adastra increased its turnover by 56% to CZK 251 million. The above activities consist of data integration, analytic CRM, Data Warehousing and Data Mining services.

Adastra has been successful in pursuing its activities on the North American continent and on other international markets. 2003 earnings received from abroad (Canada, Germany) amounted to 40 % of the aggregate turnover, compared to 31% in the year 2002.

New Clients

New clients having contracted Adastra in 2003 include such companies as Česká spořitelna, Český Mobil, Eurotel, HVB, the Slovak Všeobecná úverová banka, on of the major British banks, Barclays Bank, or the Canadian Shoppers Drug Mart retain chain.  Adastra continues to enjoy its stable client base generating more than two thirds of the company's turnover. Thanks to a stable organic growth, Adastra is now able to implement extensive specialised and comprehensive projects for large clients. 

New Solutions
In the last year, Adastra introduced a number of new solutions in the field of Data Warehousing and Data Mining. These solutions include, for instance, a comprehensive client data warehouse solution (Adastra Customer Data Warehouse), client value-based segmentation solution (Adastra Value Based Segmentation) or Adastra Revenue Assurance, Adastra's solution for financial institutions and telecoms.

In 2003, Adastra became a sponsor of the Nadace pro rozvoj občanské společnosti Foundation (Civic Society Development Fund). In addition, Adastra continued to support the children's home in Žíchovec u Prachatic.
